The long sunny days of July and August combined with the expansive
beauty of Okanagan Lake are two reasons for water sports being
such a popullar recreation in the Okanagan Valley. The warm
water and great winds of this magnificent lake are especially
inviting to sailboat and windsurfing enthusiasts. Boaters enjoy
the long 145 km.(90 mi.) waterway which stretches from Penticton
in the south to Vernon in the north.
